It has been a long time since I've blogged, but I saw this idea on Pinterest and wanted to do it before I forgot or Saylor turns 3!

Every year ask your child the same question and see how the answers change:
Saylor Age 2 (plus a month) I'm not sure if Saylor understands the word favorite, so I did have to reword the questions a bit...

1. What is your favorite color? Um, Pink and Purple
2. What is your favorite toy? Baby dolls [Maybe because she is playing with a babydoll at the moment]
3. What is your favorite fruit? Um, fruit Snacks [I may have to give some fruit examples] Saylor, do you like apples, grapes, strawberries? Strawberries and Blackberries
4. What is your favorite TV show? She wouldn't answer so Im going to have to say Yo Gabba Gabba, Sesame Street, and Veggie Tales
5. What do you like to eat for lunch? Ham
6. What is your favorite outfit? I wike to dress up! [this is very true! at the moment she has on a ladybug Halloween costume, with a turquoise tutu under it!]
7. What is your favorite game? The monkey game [she is refering to the Monkey Preschool lunchbox game on my Iphone.]
8. What is your favorite snack? Fruit Snacks! [the Motts for Tots fruit snacks]
9. What is your favorite animal? Puppy Animal
10. What is your favorite song? For the Bible Tells Me [Jesus Loves Me], [She also likes to sing Red Solo Cup!]
11. What is your favorite book? Puppy book [didn't know we had that one, but she does love anything puppy!]
12. Who is your best friend? Dr. Damian and Teetym and Uncle Justin[Ha, usually her best friends are Tateym and Kinley from school]
13. What is your favorite cereal? Puppy Cereal [um, I dont feed my child puppy cereal!, her favorite cereal is actually Chex]
14. What is your favorite thing to do outside? JUMP [on the trampoline]
15. What is your favorite drink? Apple Juice
16. What is your favorite holiday? She just gave me a blank stare at this question, but I can say its her birthday! It has been over a month, and she still talks about it!
17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? Milk [yes,you would like to take milk to bed, but Mommy and Daddy make you drink it before you get into bed]
18. What do you like to eat for breakfast? Strawberries and French Fries [the strawberry part may be true, but I don't remember having french fries for breakfast!]
19. What did you have for dinner on your birthday? Umm, Cupcakes! [Yep, and now everytime she sees a cupcake or muffin, she sings Happy Birthday to Saylor]
20. What do you want to be when you grow up? Be Elmo

In July Luke and I, along with Lukes brother Kurt and his wife Sheila took a trip to Cancun for our friends Rob & Heathers wedding! It was a great trip!
This was a small island we took a boat over to. Isla Mujueres I think was the name..it was a small quant little place and I really enjoyed it!

I have not been very good at updating my blog this summer! I really havnt been very good at taking picture this summer either! Here are some things that happened in May!

Family got together for a camp out. Look at all of those boys!

This little boy was not very happy! Oh little Rhett!

I got to attend Mothers Day Tea at my niece Leah's school. Her mom teaches the other class room and had to attend that tea party, so Saylor and I got invited to Leahs!

We leveled our yard and planted new grass! Lots of it!

And Last, but certainly not least, Kelsey graduated 8th grade and is now an official HIGH SCHOOLER! This blog is soo far behind, she actually starts school in 1 week!

Craft Room!!!

For the last couple of months or so, I have been sewing out of our extra closet in our bedroom...as you can see from the picture below, it is tiny! I have finally convinced my husband** that I needed a bigger sewing room and we have this big extra room beside our dining room. I was made to be a formal living room, but lets face it, Im not formal, and neither is anyone I know!!! :)

This is my NEW sewing room...Im not completely moved it yet. That will probaly take weeks!
Bookshelves are going up to seperated this room from the dining room (the room I was standing in to take the pic)
Im also needing a "theme" for my sewing room! Im thinking the deer head (Kelseys first deer) and my husbands A&M prints have to stay! :(

**Convinced My husband= I told my husband my idea and he didnt say no!

Saylors First Swim!!!

I decided we've waited long enough! Saylor needed to go swimming. We went to Target and got her swimsuit, sunblock and float. I dug in the back of my closet and pulled out my swimsuit and we jumped in!
Saylor LOVED the water! I wasn't surprised because she loves to take a bath.
Daddy came home during our swim and so she got to show him how she "swims!"
I have a feeling we are going to spend many days in the pool this summer!

We got to leave the hospital on Wednesday. I was scheduled to leave on Tuesday, but I had some complications (blood loss) so I had to stay one more day for testing...

A Baby Story...Saylor Grace

Saylor Grace was born at 11:31am on January 4th...she was induced, which Im soo glad because she ended up weighing 9 pounds, 6 ounces!!! She was a big beautiful healthy baby!!

Saylor Grace was born Monday, January 4th at 11:31am. She weighed 9 lbs, 6 oz (the exact same weight as her big sister) and was 21 inches long! She has the thickest black hair and chubby little cheeks!

This Mornings Check Up!!!

I went to the doctor this morning. In one weeks time, I only dilated 1/2 a centimeter! I am now at a 1 1/2. (Men, you may want to stop reading now)
She asked me what I would like to do and I asked her what my options were. She said well lets go ahead and induce..so she called the hospital to see if the 4th, 5th, or 6th would be best and she came back in and told me the 4th, which is on a Monday. Since my cervix is only dilated to 1.5, she wants me to go in Sunday night and they will give me some type of medicine vaginally (cant think of the name of it) that will help "ripen" my cervix, and then bright and early Monday morning we will induce. I've heard different stories of inducing, some say it takes longer, some say it moves quickly. My sister was only in labor for 4.5 hours with her inducing, so Im hoping to take that path! I was at the hospital for like 14 hours before I had Kelsey, so, I hoping to not go there again!!! (she was not induced)

Wish me luck! I still have lots to do around the house, but Im thinking now that I have a date to work with, I will get more done! Of course she could always come sooner!

Pro/Con List, countdown to Saylor Grace!!!

I've change my background to the pinkest of the pink that I could find as a count-down to Saylor Graces arrival!
I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday at 8:50am. She said at that appointment we could start talking about inducing me, or I can wait until she decides to come on her own! I have thought and thought about this...There are many pro's and con's...
Is it normal or natural to look at a calendar and pick your babys birthday?? With it being soo close to New Years Eve, I don't think I want her to be born on the 31st, BUT I've heard the 1st baby of the new year gets free stuff! (hey it's just a thought!) BUT I don't want her out celebrating her birthday on New Years Eve when she is older, WAY older! Our babys room still isn't finished, even though my husband is in there working away right now! He is hanging sheetrock as we speak. It could be finished very very soon! I would like to be able to take down all of my Christmas decor before baby arrives, which would put us into 2010. I still have several things to get for the baby, but I do have all of the basics: diapers, wipes, clothes, socks, hats, blankets... I still have not decided how Im going to feed her! Do I want to breastfeed, pump, formula, a combo of both??? I guess thats pretty important to figure out..yea, that prob should go above picking out the paint color!
That is pretty much my pro/con list, in no particular order, you can figure out the pros and the cons...

Baking Day!!!

I've been reading about baking day on everyone elses blog and decided to give it a try. With the new baby coming, I figured it would really help! Kelsey and I ended up making 2 dozen muffins, 2 batches of taco meat, 2 batches of spaghetti sauce, 2 batches of Pioneer Woman Chili, and 2 batches of beef enchiladas. We've already used some of the food, but Im hoping to have another baking day really soon!

The muffins Kelsey made. We have an awesome Starbucks muffin recipe that we use. We just freeze them in gallon ziplock bags, and take one or two out as we need them.

Spaghetti sauce with directions, can't get any easier than that!

Im about 36 weeks now and am feeling really good..no major problems, Im having good spurts of energy, I don't FEEL like a fatty....my ankles are not swollen, I don't waddle..in other words Im feeling pretty good about this pregnancy body thing!

UNTIL I HEAR THINGS LIKE THIS:

Went to Olive Garden for my 32nd Birthday. I get dressed up kinda cute with a black (black=slimming) shirt and jeans. We walk in and the hostess says Hi, CAN YOU FIT INTO A BOOTH!!!" Insead of giving me the booth/table option! My eyes got huge and of course Luke started laughing! Of course I was a little offended and said UH, yes, I would like a booth, and she says "WELL IT LOOKS LIKE YOUR ABOUT TO POP ANYDAY!!!" No lady, I have over a month to go is what I wanted to say, but just gave her this seat me now and give me my cheese garlic biscuts now smile.
After we sat down I was going on and on to Luke about how rude she was and little did I know she was cleaning off the table behind us, even though Im sure Luke saw her! She did come over and appoligize after that!

Today I was in Target making a return (which by the way is the BIGGEST headache in the world) and the girl helping me said, "I just want to tell you that you make such a cute pregnant person"...It was so nice to hear that! Then she opened her mouth again and said "So do you know what your having?" I said yes, a little girl and she said "OH THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THERE!!!!" Yep, only one was the only answer I could think of!!! Im sure steam was coming out of my ears!

AND if I hear "How much longer do you have, you look like your about to pop" one more time!!! POP?? Yea, I wish it was that easy, just stick a needle in me and POP, here is your baby!

OK, so I've vented...I feel better now...just be nice to us pregnant people...you know how hormonal we are!

This weekend is my cousin Courtneys 30th Birthday!!! As kids, she always seemed sooo much younger than me, and I always thought I was the boss! (She is only 2 years younger) In true Courtney tradition, we are having an Old Hollywood Theme party for her birthday! Im sure everyone will be wearing black dresses with feather boas, fur shawls, and goddy jewelry! Being pregnant, I was going to mix it up a bit and be Lucille Ball! Here is my inspiration photo:

Saturday I started putting up Christmas decorations, which turned into a 2 day event! I am trying to switch over from red and gold, to a more fun and whimsical red and lime green.

Here is a pic of my tree and my fireplace..we do not use the fireplace, and it probaly really needs cleaned out...but I just decorated around it! I did get in the cleaning mood and scrubbed the bricks though!
I am missing stockings and a tree skirt...Im going to have those made so they all match!

The mantle... I MADE the wreath, and it was easy!! Then I made the bows to go on top of the stocking holders so it all matched and tied together!

I think after the stockings are hung, it will look perfect!

Before Digital Cameras....

Do you remember life before a digital camera??? When I was young I remember having a pink Conair 110 camera...They were the long skinny cameras. I also remember my mom having a Polaroid, the one where the picture printed out right away. Before my digital camera, I had a normal 35mm, until I got it wet swimming with the dolphins! I was down to using a disposable camera in 2006 when my sister got married!! I recently found some disposable cameras and took them in to get developed! Look what I found!

Just wanted to share my Target deal from this morning!!
5 packs of wet wipes, 1 roll of wrapping paper and 1 bag of dog treats.
The wet ones were regularly 1.54 each, I had a 1.00 coupon for each pack, making them .54 each! The wrapping paper was 1.00 from the dollar spot, and the dog treats were 3.99, I paid .99 because I had a 2.00 Target coupon, and a 1.00 coupon from the paper!
I paid 5.18 for it all!

Day 7 of Project Baby Girls Room

Day 2 Project Baby Girls Room

Day 2 of working on the new room for Baby Girl! (I promise she will be named soon!)
Concrete was poured today...we had enough left over to widen our driveway. Luke says that I don't know how to park and he is always in the grass, so now he shouldn't have any problems!

This is a pic of the guys taking the brick off of the side of the house...we will reuse this on the outside of the new room, so it matches the rest of the house...

I don't have any pictures of the garage being closed it...thats just not as exciting ot me as this new room and new master closet!!

Baby Girl Room Decor

After MUCH thinking, making up my mind, changing it again...this is the fabric I have decided to use in baby girls room. I plan on making my own bedding, with the help of a couple of friends! I wanted something different, but also something that could grow with the baby.
These 3 fabrics will be combined with pink and brown minky dot to make the perfect little bedding for Baby Girl!

Day 1 of Project Build Baby Girls Room

Yippy! Today we (well a crew) started building a bedroom for baby girl!! Since our house is only 2 bedroom (big, but we only have 2 bedrooms!), we needed a 3rd room for the baby! We are also closing in our carport, making it a true garage, and doing some other stuff, including a new roof!

This is our hallway and our bedroom door. To the right of the bedroom door is where the new door will be to go into the new room.

Just some dirt they've dug...

This is where the new room will be. They have to take the brick off off of the house, and use it on the outside of the new room, so our house will match and it won't look like an add on! We will also build a walk-in closet for us in that area, and then turn our current walk in closet into a bigger master bathroom.

We have lots of work ahead of us, but its going to be worth it!!!

A couple of weekends ago, we decided to take a trip to Sea World! We had a blast...it was decorated for Halloween and looked great!

Our Halloween started out taking our nephew to the Aggie Football game for his birthday...after that we came home and trick or treated some...Last minute Kelsey decided to dress up so I hot glued some triangles to hair clips and hot glued some black material to a coat hanger for a tail. VERY last minute, but it turned out pretty cute!

Spirit Week At School!!

Kelsey had Spirit Week last week at school leading up to Homecoming!!
Monday was Tacky Day. We figured it would be pretty tacky to wear a shirt from her old school to her new school...

Tuesday was Camo Day.

Wednesday was 80's day...Doesn't Kelsey make a cute 80's girl, just like her mom!

Well Friday was dress day (uniform) and then Friday was Spirit Day...I didn't get pics of either of those...
It was a fun week leading up to Homecoming, and they won the football game!

Kelsey is part of the A&M Volleyball Court Crew this Year! She gets to help the team out, throw balls in when they are serving, and wipe up sweat and water off of the floor!

It may not sound like the best job in the world, but look at this seat she gets! On the floor, right with the action!

Good Job Ladies, they beat 9th ranked Nebraska in 3 games!!

No! Im not having triplets! But my cat Sookie did! We knew about 2 or 3 weeks ago she had kittens but until this morning couldn't find them! Then, this morning, we see a little head sticking out of the laundry room, so I get my flashlight (and camera) and go investigate! Look what I found under Lukes toolbox! 3 little white kittens!

These little babies are not shy at all! Sookies last set of kittens were not very friendly, they would hiss and run if you tried to hold them! Not these 3, they walked right up to me!

And look! They are IDENTICAL triples! Solid white with a grey tail! How am I going to tell them apart!

Harley even came outside to see what was going on! He is not very big on other animals, but did sniff around on the kittens for a while!

I know Luke isn't going to let me keep them all, so if your interested just let me know! Kristy, don't worry, I have one set aside for Tateym!!

My camera was stolen out of my car last week! Lukes GPS, which was in my car, was also taken!! I am soo frustrated!!! So for a while, I may not have pictures on my blog!
We are filing a police report today, but Im not sure how much good that will do...I don't have the serial number for my camera, and Best Buy doesn't keep a record of it...
Any suggestions???

Luke and I went to the doctor yesterday to have an ultrasound and hopefully find out the sex of our baby!! The tech was having a hard time getting her to move her legs, but said she was 95% sure its a little girl!!! Im very excited!! I know that Luke wanted a little boy, but he is going to love another girl around the house! :)
I told him there is always next time!

Weekly Grocery Trip #1 Target

Ok, so I hope your not tired of seeing pictures of my groceries yet! But I am so proud when I get a good deal! As mentioned in my previous post, I went to Target this morning. Here is a breakdown of what I got. Im also going to tell you how you can start saving too!

First lets start with the household stuff.

This is what I got: Dish detergent, Quatro razor, Intution razor, Bounce Dryer Bar, Tide Stain Release. I paid $14.20, without coupons, it would have been $27.95.

Next are some food items: I got Honey Nut Cheerios, Lucky Charms, 3 Hamburger Helpers, 1 box Special K bars. Regular Pirce for these 6 items is $12.03, I paid $6.50!!!

Next are the dog items: We found a new home for our outside dog, but still have our inside doggy!

I was able to get a big bag of doggy treats and a 5# bag of dog food for $ 1.40! Normal price would have been $7.50!!!

I also was able to stock up on some baby items! Im learning to stock up and save money! That way Im never forced to pay full price when I need that item!

I got 2 packs of diapers, 1 pack of wipes, 1 Large bottle of Johnsons wash, 1 bottle of baby oil gel and one No More Tangles. (that is for Kelsey to try now) Normal price $28.95, I paid $15.44!

This next purchase was one of the best! Dryer Ice Cream is on sale for $2.50, I bought 2, bring it to $5.00. After coupons, I paid $1.00 for both! 50 cents each!!

My next purchase was kinda like a reward! I've been seeing this on TV. A Febreeze Luminary. It looks and flickers like a candle, but is actually a light. The shade is what is scented. They were priced at $14.99, but I had a $5.00 coupon, so got it for $9.99. Kinda a splurge, but I liked it SO MUCH, I went back to Target during lunch and used my other coupon to buy another! They smell awesome, and scent the whole house! It was hard to get a good picture, it is on in both pics, but my flash made it look like it wasnt, and when I tried without the flash, it was blurry!
It matches my living room perfectly!!!

Not counting the candle, I paid around $42.00 for $77.00 worth of items!

As most of you know, (does anyone actually read my blog??) I love my coupons! Well Target is one of the best places to use coupons because you can actually use 2 coupons per item. You can use a Manufacture Coupon and then you can use a Target coupon. Well last night I sat down and made a list of everything I was going to get at Target. I had about 20 items, so I had 40 coupons! Now I admit that is alot to hand over at the end of my transaction, so I try to go during a time when I know there is not going to be a crowd or long line behind me. I was at Target at 7:57am this morning, they open at 8am. I had my list ready and got all of my items on it. When I got up to pay the cashier, lets call her "Lucy", told me I could not use 2 coupons for one item. I tried to tell her the rules for coupon stacking, one manufacture, one Target. She did not believe me and called her manager over. The manager told "Lucy" that I was correct, I could use 2 coupons. "Lucy" did not like that I was right and she was wrong. "Lucy" was not very nice to me during the rest of the transaction! Im trying to buy ahead so when baby comes, I wont have to spend lots of money. I had 3 coupons for 1.00 off a Gerber Feeding Accessory. I bought 3 bottles that were .99. "Lucy" informed me that bottles were not a feeding accessory. Im still pondering that one, but told me I could not use those 3 coupons. Ok, whatever, I just paid for the bottles and told myself I would take them back during lunch. ( I still saved 56.00, but that is my next post.)
Soooo, on my lunch break, because I went back to Target for something else, I took the 3 bottles to customer service for a return. GUESS who was working at customer service?? "LUCY"!!!!
By this time Im wishing I would have changed my shirt or something so she wouldn't recognize me! I just quickly told her I wanted to return these, and got my money back. I went to get what I came for, a Febreeze Luminary (which is an awesome candle) They were 14.99 and I had a $4.00 coupon. Kinda a splurge, but those things are awesome! Anyway, when I went to check out, the lady hit total and closed the sale BEFORE scanning my coupon. I asked her if she could cancel it and she said no. If I wanted to get refunded my $4.00, I would have to go to customer service. Hello "LUCY" Again!!!! So I explained what happened to "Lucy" and this time she was very nice, (maybe she didnt recognize me) and refunded my money.
I don't think Target liked me today!!!

Weekly Happenings!

Sorry, right now I have no new pictures to post! But we have had a pretty busy week!
Yesterday I went to Monterey and had lunch with old friends/co-workers! I got to see my friend Hayley who is also having a baby! I had a good visit with everyone. After rushing home to pick up Kelsey from school, we came home, she changed and we went to a photo shoot in downtown Bryan which was part of a contest...more details on that Friday! My sister also brought Tateym for her first professional photo shoot, and the young age of 5 days! We took them in an alley in downtown Bryan, the pictures turned out awesome! On Friday, I will need you to vote for Kelsey and Tateym so they can win another photo session! But more on that later!
I did not realize until today that we only have 6 MORE DAYS until we find out the sex of the baby!!! Of course Luke wants a boy, and I really don't care either way. A boy would be nice, but little girls are always alot of fun!
We also are hard at work on our new website and getting things made for our craft booths! Hopeuflly we will have our "grand opening" soon!!

2nd week of grocery shopping & Saving!!

Today I went to Kroger for my weekly shopping trip! I am learning more each time about using coupons and discounts in order to save the most money. My total BEFORE handing over my Kroger card and coupons was $96.73. After coupons and Kroger discounts, I paid $33.79 for 44 items!!

I bought alot of snack foods because I would rather snack 12 times a day than eat a whole meal! Im just not every really hungry! Pre-pregnancy I was starving ALL of the time! Go figure! So that is why you see lots of snacks, I did try to buy healthy ones though...The only thing Im not sure about are the two packs of cheezy noodles. I've never bought those, but if no one seems interested in them, I will donate them to the church food drive. That is my plan, if it is cheap or free get it anyway and then donate it! The 3 boxes of Trix cereal are hard to see in this pic...

And this here Tower of Yummy Delight is something I am very proud of! I got 3 things of BLUEBELL ICE CREAM FOR $8.00!!! That is unheard of these days! Wanna know my secret? A grocery store was running a 3/10.00 ad. If you go to the Bluebell website and register you can print out a coupon for $1.00 off! Luke and I both registered, so that gave us 2 coupons!
This better last a while!

My First Day of School! by Kelsey

Well...Mom couldn't wait to hear about my first day of school, so I thought I'd let everyone in Blogland know!

My day pretty much started off with me getting ready for school of course. I was nervous but now I don't even know why since I knew almost everyone and had seen all the others. I'm in the A class so the same people are in my class the whole day. After 1st period, everyone knew my name and anything else important. Still...in EVERY SINGLE CLASS this is what I heard-- "And we have a new girl in our school today!" Wow I'm so glad the 1st day is over and I'm not new anymore. I'm old news now...

1st Period-- Religion, Mr. Bellamy-- pretty nice
2nd Period-- Science, Mrs. Wicht-- pretty nice
3rd Period-- English, Mrs. Catalena-- my FAVORITE!
4th Period-- Social Studies, Mr. Rike-- instead of saying "are you kidding?" he says "NO FOOLIN'!?"-funny!
5th Period-- Math, Sister Josephine-- pretty nice
6th Period-- PE, Coach Giese-- awesome!!
7th Period-- Spanish, Mrs. Vavra-- hard (never taken it)
8th Period-- Band, Mr. Boening-- hard songs but we get to play Hot N Cold by Katy Perry

Oh I almost forgot! My mom made a HUGE deal about this...I didn't eat lunch today because I didn't know what to write on the paper for salad bar. I raised my hand for a long time but by the time he looked at me he had already turned in the lunch count. No big deal right??? Oh not to my mom!!!!!!! She gave my like 50 options I could of done such as go up to him after class and explain the situation and stuff like that. Seriously I didn't think it was a big deal! But she's crazy....shhhhh

Today was Kelseys first day of school. She started a new school this year since we've moved. We had meet the teacher last night and Kelsey already knew tons of kids in the hallway, which always makes a mom feel good, when their kids fit in and are well liked! She not only has to adjust to a new school, but also UNIFORMS!! I think she looked very nice, and she got to wear a little bit of make-up this year! She woke up at 6am this morning to get ready, around 7 she was completly ready and bored! She seems very excited and I can't wait until schools out to see how her first day of school went!!

Coupon Class Part 2!!!

After I got home from my shopping trip, I went back. Yes, today I was a coupon crazy mad woman! But let me say this, Kroger was FULL of people with coupon books in their basket!!! A few even had their husbands there to help!! What I noticed was if someone got to an item and decided not to get it, they would leave their coupon right there on the shelf. Isn't that nice!
This transaction was a little different..some items I didnt have coupons for, but needed, like the coffee and the fruit...
I still paid $32.46 for a bill that began at $62.81. I even treated myself to a magazine!!
Also, both times, (well actually 3 times counting the class field trip) the cashier has been so nice and patient. They even say wow or good job!

Excuse my mess in the back of my pic...that is my bag of bags Im saving up to use at my garage sale. And see that family plague, that is something Luke needs to hang!! Sabrina, that is your Carnival Cruise coffee cup waiting on you...

Coupon Class!!!

This morning I took a coupon class with Heather over at http://www.allthingshendrick.blogspot.com/ and her friend Kirby (Im not sure of Kirbys blog address)
They taught us how to shop smart at Kroger! They are wonderful money savers and I learned alot! Thank you Heather and Kirby for hosting such a wonderful class!
They are talking about doing another class soon, So as soon as I find out that information, I will post it on my blog!

Today at Kroger, for one day only, they doubled coupons upto and including $1.00! This is very rare and apparently they only do it once a year!
I learned that you can upload coupons to your Kroger card, I wasn't aware of that. These can be combined and used with your manufacture coupons! That is awesome!
I also learned how to cook chicken breast that come with the bone. I have always bought boneless, skinless chicken breast because I was "scared" to cook chicken with the bone. I just didnt know what to do with it!
Also, Kroger has always been my grocery store of choice, but unless you use coupons and ads, they are somewhat more expensive than HEB or Walmart, meaning that I buy alot of groceries at Target. I am a Walmart snob. I hate it. I always have a bad experience when I go in there, either with the checker or another person!
They also taught us some smart ways to shop at Target, so with the info I learned today, I can shop at my 2 favorite places, Kroger and Target, and never have to set foot into those other stores!

Kelsey will be going to a private school this coming school year...I was not happy with the school district that we live in, so we've decided to send her to a private school just 3 blocks from our house! Private School='s Uniforms! Kelsey wasn't too happy about that, but is getting use to the idea.

Today Kelseys uniforms came in the mail and she was excited to try them on right away! The dress code is red or white polo's with navy shorts or pants. On Thursdays they do have to wear a white button up shirt with a navy skirt.

Kelsey attended the Acie Law basketball camp today. Kelsey was a big fan of Acie's when he played basketball at A&M, and now he plays for the Atlanta Hawks. Kelsey and her cousin Ashlynn were the only girls there, out of over 100 kids. At the end they passed out awards for each age group! When he announced the 13's winner he said "And She DOMINATED the 13 year olds, Kelsey!" Yea to my daughter for shooting better than all of those boys!!!

Yes, Im still posting Honeymoon pics a month later, but for one, my computer quit letting me access my log on, so I couldn't upload any pics, second of all, I've just been to lazy to figure out how to fix it! :)
One of the places we ate at in Destin was Fudpuckers! Since it was lunch, Luke and I shared this big tropical drink and a seafood combo platter! I ate more seafood that week that I probaly have in my entire week!
After we ate, you could buy alligator food, 3 pieces for 2.00! Which turned out to be the same dog treats I give my dog when he goes potty! Anyway we fed the gators, which was kinda fun....

We are back from our Honeymoon! We decided to go to Seaside FL. What a neat little town! Here are some around town pics!
There was no McDonalds, Applebee's or anything like that..all stores were local stores. We parked our car and only got back in it once the whole time we were there, we walked to everything!

My wonderful friends threw me a great Bachlorette Party!! We went to the lake and spent all day, and then we went out to a true live Honkey Tonk. no joke. Dressed in 80's clothes!! I had a great time!

Our Baptism!!

On Saturday Kelsey and I were both baptised at St. Marys Church, the same church that Luke and I will be married at in less than a month, by the same priest that will marry us. It was a beautiful service that was full of readings and music. At the beginning those to be baptised wore gray robes, and after we were baptised we changed into white robes to symbolize being washed clean of sin. Part of the service was candlelight which was very pretty, but it did make lots of people sleepy. (it started at 8:30pm and lasted 3 hours!)
It was a very special night and even more special because I was able to share it with my daughter. We have been preparing and waiting for this for over 6 months, so we were both very excited! We love our church and are so happy to be new members!!!

Grocery Savings...

Ok, I have been very careful about my spending, and have been very aware of what things cost, and have been using coupons religiously! Here are some of my savings today!
My first stop was Walgreens. Walgreens has a monthly rebate program. I had 18.69 from my March rebate. My grand total was $81.89. With sales, coupons and my rebate I paid $28.25 for both pics below! The make-up itself is worth more than $28.25.

Next, I went over to CVS...my total there was 49.23. (before coupons it was 83.00)I did spend more than I did at Walgreens, but I got more expensive items. I forgot how much diapers and wipes were! (they are for my sister) Plus look at all of that Aussie hair stuff I got!! Yippy!! And the best part is I got $19.49 back in Extra Care bucks for my next purchase!!!

So like I said last week Im having a garage sale this coming weekend! Since we will be moving in with Luke in less than a month, I decided it's time to do a little spring cleaning! Looks like I have never cleaned out closets before! And this is just the first load! I have at least one, maybe two more!!

It's kinda early, but I wanted to announce a Yard Sale on April 10th and 11th!!
Since I am getting married, I have a whole house full of stuff to sale. Also my cousin, future sister-in-law, and sister will all have tons of stuff too!
We will have tons of mens, women, childrens, and baby clothes. Household items and decorations, kitchenware-from measuring cups to stove and refrigerator, plenty of furniture from the rest of the house too! toys and books, and anything else you can imagine!

Yesterday my dear friends threw me a Bridal Shower at the Brazos Center in Bryan. Luke and I got many great gifts! We really appreciate it! It was great to get to see and visit with everyone, especially my friends I haven't seen in forever!!

Lots has happened since last time I blogged...I changed jobs and started working for Lukes roofing company. This has kept me VERY busy, no Facebook or Blog time! So many things have happened to my online friends that I wasnt even aware of!
I've been wedding planning like crazy, and probaly acting a little crazy at it! Im downn to a month and a half and have soo much left to do! Because Im spending so much time working at Lukes, I didn't like that Kelsey was home by herself after school so much, SO I checked her out of school and she comes with me in the mornings and is finishing up 7th grade using the Alpha Omega homeschool program.
The painter finially finished Lukes/my future house.
Kelsey turned 13 yesterday!
I will do "break-down" post of all of these, just wanted to give a little summary!!

How funny! Since I just got a new job and computer I have no pictures on here yet, so I went to my kodakgallery to get a picture. This is a picture my sister had sent me a while back. The Grocery Game!!

OK, I did it, I finially joined The Grocery Game! It has been something I have wanted to do for a while, but wanted to wait until I was in Bryan more and had more time...My first trip to the grocery stores saved me at least 50%, and that is figuring the item at its sell price, not original price!
Yes, Im a goober, but I took pictures!
This 1st picture is of my purchases at Walgreens. I paid $16.07 for items that would have cost $33.00. My best buy here was a bottle of Asprin that was worth 4.99, I got it free. I had a coupon that said 1 FREE bottle of Asprin! Also the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner was $2.79, BOGO Free. I had a .50 coupon and then also got a $1.00 in earned bucks.

This is my purchase at CVS. At CVS you earn Extra Care Bucks good towards your next purchase, or whenever you want to use them...Its pretty much like CVS cash..I earned $12.00 in ECB!! My best buy here was probaly the Herbal Essence shampoo and conditioner. It was on sale for 2.99 each. I had a coupon to save 1.00 off of 2, so I got each bottle for 1.50, and then I earned 1.00 in ECB for each bottle I bought. If you figure that in, I paid .50 for each bottle! The Venus Razor was on sale for 7.99. I had a coupon for 2.00 off, which brought it to 5.99, and then I got 4.00 in ECB!!!!

Here is some stuff I bought at HEB. I needed hamburger meat, so their Meal Deal worked out perfect for me! I had to buy 2 rolls of meat, and I got beans, cheese, sour cream, tortillas, and taco seasoning for free! Glade air spray was on sale for 1.09 each, I had a coupon for 1.00 off of 2, so I got them for .50 each!

Kroger was my last stop. Kroger triples coupons for up to and including .39 cents. They double coupons up to and including .50. Everything else is at face value. I paid .20 each for these Totinos Pizza Rolls!!! They were on sale for 1.25. I had a .35 coupon, triple that, makes it 1.05, making the pizza rolls .20 a box!!
Also, I paid about .50 for the Grands biscuits!!

It was some work, but worth the savings!!!
When Kelsey got home from school, she called and asked me if she could eat the popcorn and I said yes of course, why. She said it looks like I had a display set up or something! Oops, must have forgotten to "un pose" my purchases!

Chocolate Sparkle or Sprinkle?? Who Knew!

When I went to pick out paint colors for our new house I looked at a book and chose the office and hallway color from the same picture because they looked good together. Wellll when our painter started painting the hallway I kept telling him that the color just didn't look right. I had chose a chocolaty brown color and this on my wall was more of a maroon. Well he sent me to Home Depot to buy more paint, in the color chocolate sprinkle. When I got there I realized I had Chocolate Sparkle on my walls, not chocolate sprinke! Who Knew!! Why would a paint company make 2 names soo close together!! Crazyness!
Anyway the maroon doesnt look bad, so we are keeping it. I know that Luke secretly loves it, he even made the comment that a big aTm would Look great on the wall! Uh, NO!
Anyways, this is the before and after picture of the hallway! Notice the new lighting! I swear all of the lighting fixtures in this house were gold! It was horrible!

Oh, and the couch isnt staying in the hallway! It was just moved there, so we could paint the living room. It is for sale though! Anyone in need of a red Italian leather couch?? Anyone?? Hello?? Did I hear 20 dollars??

My new office

When Luke bought this house, it had a formal living room right next to the dining room seperated by a little cabinet thing...the picture below is taken from the formal living room so its hard to see the whole room.(its the one with carpet). Our plan was to make that room an office. We tore out the cabinet thing, painted, put in a new floor, changed the light fixture, and "stole" 2 feet of dining room to make the office bigger. Except for a few minor things, we are almost done!

And this is what the office looks like today! My desk is the one up against the window. We still have to move the desk around some, they were moved out from the wall so the trim could be painted. The color I chose for the office looked like more of a brown/tan, but it was actually a green once we got it onto the walls, luckly I liked it! And also I promise the floor doesnt look THAT dusty in person, must have been something with my flash!!

We are still keeping the dining room a dining room, more of those pics soon!
